Rules and Regulations – South Florida Chevrolet Promotion
Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment and South Florida Chevrolet are conducting a sweepstakes with the opportunity of winning one (1) semester of books paid for by the sponsor.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the State of Florida with a valid driver’s license. By entering this sweepstakes, the contestant acknowledges that he or she is aware of and agrees to abide by the Official Rules and Regulations of this drawing. All awards are final. Prize is non-transferable.
From 9am Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on May 5th, 2018 (the “Entry Period”), Sponsor will conduct a Sweepstakes encouraging entrants to enter for a chance to win a prize. To be eligible all entries must be received no later than 12pm EST on May 17th, 2018 (the “Closing Period”). The winning contestant will be selected on Friday, May 18, 2018. FIU/VWESE are the official timekeeper for this Sweepstakes. Entries must depict the entrant and no other person.
Sponsor will conduct a Sweepstakes encouraging entrants to enter for a chance to win a prize. To enter, during the Entry Period, an entrant will correctly provide their contract information including name, age, email address, phone number and favorite car brand. To be eligible all entries must be received no later than 12pm EST on May 17th, 2018. Entries must depict the entrant and no other person. Entries that fail to meet any of the foregoing criteria, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion, may be disqualified. All entries must be submitted in the name of an individual person and the prize can only be awarded to the person whose name is on the winning entry. By participating in this sweepstakes, the contestant acknowledges and understands that their personal information will be shared with South Florida Chevrolet and FIU/VWSE. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means will be void. The Sweepstakes Entities and each of their respective employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for misdirected, incomplete, lost, late, illegible, undelivered, inaccurate or delayed entries, or lost or stolen entry boxes, or for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions or other errors or problems which may limit or affect a person’s ability to participate in the Sweepstakes, whether human, mechanical, typographical, printing, electronic, network or otherwise, relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any Sweepstakes-related materials. In the event of sabotage, acts of God, terrorism or threats thereof, computer virus or other events or causes beyond the Sponsor’s control, which corrupt the integrity, administration, security or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify entrants and/or modify, cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such cancellation. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Limit one (1) entries per person. The decisions of Sponsor in all matters regarding this Sweepstakes are final and binding.
One (1) winner will receive one (1) semester of tuition books paid by the sponsor. The approximate retail value of the prize is 1,000 Dollars. No substitution or transfer of prizes or cash redemption is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value, in its sole discretion. The Winner is responsible for the reporting and payment of all federal, state and local taxes (if any) and any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified in these Official Rules and/or in the applicable entry instructions as being provided. All prize details and additional terms, conditions or eligibility requirements are in Sponsor’s discretion. Tickets are subject to the terms and conditions listed on the tickets.
The FIU Division of University Advancement collects and stores contact information (such as name, telephone, address, and D.O.B.) provided by visitors to the Web site. Technology is used to encrypt or scramble information submitted via this site. Communications between the Web browser (such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer) and this server (advancement.fiu.edu) are encrypted on all URLs that begin with https:// in the location.
The FIU Division of University Advancement will not share your contact information with other organizations; however, the Division’s Data Management team administers the information collected and is responsible for distributing it upon request, or as necessary to other FIU departments. Information submitted via this Web site will not be disclosed to third parties or other government agencies, unless required by state or federal law.

The winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, and sales tax. Sweepstake’s winner must complete and sign IRS Form W-9 (including complete address and Social Security Number). Winner will be provided with IRS Form W-2G – Certain Gambling Winnings for tax purposes. No substitutions for prize will be made. Winner agrees to allow the Foundation to promote future drawings.
